Salvatore Greco
Italy · island fisherman
Salvatore has pulled people from the sea and still resents a system that spends his conscience while distant capitals debate optics. Both rescuer and dissenter, he faces another boat in distress after swearing never again — knowing that to help is to keep the machinery running, and to turn away is to let people drown. His grief is measured in fuel, nets, and harbor lights, not speeches.
